How to use the Tattoo Switch:
1) Connect the power adapter to the Tattoo Switch, and plug into a nearby grounded (!) Outlet.
2) Turn the Tattoo Switch on using the on / off button. The circle in the on / off button lights up in blue and the display lights up with the LED of the "active" channel.
3) Turn the first four control knobs counterclockwise as far as possible, you should feel the end.
4) Use the large knob to select channel 1 (display now shows on the top line / - 4.00V in red). Now slowly Turn the control knob of channel 1 clockwise (voltage will become higher) and turn until the red letters indicate 6.00V.
5) Place a foot pedal in the most left connector (see symbol).
6) Put your tattoo machine together according to the manual, and connect it to channel 1
7) Most tattoo the machines begin to run / - 6 Volts, but make sure you do not exceed the maximum voltage rating of your machine!
8) The Tattoo Switch is now ready for use.

Short explanation for a correct choice of the voltage:
There is no standard voltage for all tattoo machines, tattoo artist each have different needs in order to tattoo in the most comfortable way. The best way to find out how many volts your Tattoo Switch must be set on for each channel, is trying it out in practice. Begin gently to start the machine at 5V, and personalize it to 6-9v while working.
Generally, 8-10 volts for line work (higher voltage) and 6-8 volts for shadow work (lower voltage).

In short, lower voltage / lower speed for "shaders", higher voltage / higher speed for "Liners!

Short circuit protection: Does the Tattoo Switch display turn off? Do not keep using the footpedal but replace faulty cord or tattoo machine. Turning it off for 5 seconds and turning it back on will reset the Tattoo Switch.
Thermal Protection: Yes, equipped with an internal thermal protection, when the switch experiences an overload it will temporarily switch off. Turning it off for 10 seconds and swiching it back on will reset the Tattoo Switch.

Maintenance:
Clean Tattoo Switch with a clean dry soft cloth (preferably a microfiber cloth). Or lightly moistened with alcohol. Never use water to clean the tattoo Switch!
