The "Medium Tight" option is similar to what is also called "Loose" or "Traditional" liners.

Round model tips used with Round Liner and Round Shader cartridges have an angled round tip for the best stability and inkflow.
Flat model tips used with Magnum, Curved Magnum and Flat cartridges are slightly curved at the edges, allowing you to use the edges of the magnums more effectively.
